Our son has been seeing Lucy since January and every week he leaves the session with a smile on his face and a stride in his step having enjoyed the hour. Lucy helped our daughter with sleep years ago when she was a baby so when she needed a bit of extra help at age 8 we knew that we could trust her.

We asked Lucy if she could help out daughter who was having some difficulty going into school in the morning, feeling like she couldn't be herself and some friendship issues. She had also developed huge difficulties with getting to and staying asleep which was impacting us all as a family and not what anticipated happening at age 8 - she was often awake for hours in the night and was very distressed and exhausted all the time.

Lucy spent time with our daughter at school fortnightly and our daughter loved their time together week on week, they are varied and creative! She has given our daughter strategies to better understand her emotions and has empowered her to reframe some of her difficulties, recognise her own strengths and make positive choices. We have seen an improvement in her sleep and she is now getting enough hours every night, her confidence has improved and she is better able to manage friendship issues to recognise her own emotions and what she is able to control herself.  In parallel Lucy would talk with us each week to allow her sessions to focus on any presenting issues and to support the way in which we parent. Lucy is just a natural with children and always has so many different approaches she uses. Whenever I have approached Lucy with my worries she has given me excellent advice which has really helped us to respond as parents in the best way for our daughter, she even taught me some EMDR tapping techniques to use at home.

After 6 months, our daughter does not need regular sessions with Lucy any more which is testament to Lucy's work and how far our daughter has come but she has requested a little check in over the holidays in Lucy's office to prepare her for going into her new school year.

We are really so greatful for Lucy's help and patience and for being there when we desperately needed support, we feel so lucky to have her on our team and I know I could approach her when ever we have bumps in our parenting journey!
